It Only Comes Out At Night looks back at past memories as a child growing up surrounded by a large, dense pine forest. At night time my imagination would run wild with thoughts of mysterious creatures lurking in the forest and in amongst the shadows. The insecurities I felt as a child, worrying about imaginary creatures and monsters, gradually began to fade away and re-evolve into new worries through my adolescence. This sculpture brings together these different stages of my life presented in a dark but comical way.
