The Hobart Fringe Festival is excited to present a comedy all the way from Western Australia about the perils of fine dining.

Fancy Fare, following sell out shows around WA, will be performed at the reknown Hobart restaurant, Mures Upperdeck between April 16 – April 22, starting at 6.30 pm with a matinee on Sunday April 20, 12.30 pm.

Fancy Fare had its premiere at the Vat 107 Restaurant in Margaret River, WA, in November last year and following a sell out season was booked for numerous performances in restaurants in the South West of WA, culminating in a September season at the prestigious Fraser’s Restaurant, in Perth.

The play was written by Perth Playwright and Barrister Ross Lonnie and is based on his experiences of restaurant dining over many years.
Patrons will enjoy a restaurant setting whilst watching a play about comedy about dining experiences.

Ross Lonnie is a colorful character and was a prominent Barrister in Perth before retiring to Margaret River to concentrate on playwriting.

The play is about three couples who dine at a Margaret River winery and have to deal with a menu which is in French, Spanish and Mexican.

It traces a comedic meal consisting or rude waiters and tension between diners – all accompanied by a three course meal while you watch.
